End of Year Pause
What I'm Carrying Into 2026
Hey you. It’s Kendra from Clear Direction Advisors. If you’re reading this near year’s end, pour a tea. We’re not doing any heavy lifting today. This is about reflection - the light kind, like sifting through old photos and memories.
2025 tested us, right? For me, it marked 13 years since starting my business. From accounting roots to guiding service pros like you through offers, hires, and financial clarity, the core holds: businesses thrive when viewed whole, not siloed.
Client moments stood out. Yelena refined her freebie idea with me - from messy to effective, opening doors for her marketing. One client hired a VA after we crunched the numbers, lifting real weight from their shoulders. Others told me they sleep better now, seeing how revenue flows to profitability across the board. Earl nailed it: “calm with action.”
Personally? Family anchors me. Granny’s shortbread recipe - simple, buttery, from Mom’s side of the family - brings back that grounded feel. No big baking marathons this year, but the tradition lingers. Here in Nova Scotia, I’ve savored walks by the water and time with Steve, proving balance beats burnout.
For all of you, my no-fuss wrap-up for the year is simple.
Joy check. What three wins this year lit you up? Was is a new client that you loved working with? A new hire that helped you release work you don’t enjoy? Or was it finally understanding how your numbers relate back to what is actually happening in your business?
Gratitude round. Text a supporter. Message a client. Thanking people for how they’ve helped you throughout the year (genuinely, and from the heart), builds connections. Ask how you can help them out in the new year.
One carryover. Pick a habit that stuck. Mine: straightforward financial glances, not deep dives.
Rest first. Plans follow.
Happy New Year. May 2026 feel steady and abundant.
Kendra
